HEROES’ WELCOME HONOR FLIGHT
Officially joins with Unit 180 to create
Official Honor Flight Network HUB
For Northern Virginia and DC Metro area
Each day we lose 1000 members of the Greatest Generation -- our WWII Veterans

Honor Flight Network was formed in 2005 and has brought more than 35,000 Veterans
to see their Memorial.
The World War II Memorial was build nearly 60 years after the war ended.  By that time,
Most of these Veterans were well into their 70’s and 80’s  and no longer had the means or
the ability to come to the DC area.  With the continued support of grateful Americans, Veterans
of World War II, Korea and Vietnam have seen the memorials build to honor their suffering
And sacrifice to keep this great nation free and a world leader.
In 2009 the HUB welcomed over 17,000 Veterans and 8,700 Guardians on 278 Flights!

Our goal this year is to bring 25,000 Veterans to Washington DC to see their memorial
But funding is limited and many of our heroes are passing while waiting on the list.

We need your help to reach this goal.
